Project Luso shines a light on Jersey's vibrant Portuguese community

Dando destaque à vibrante comunidade portuguesa de Jersey

Film Luso

On a sunny evening in May, we came together to watch a expertly curated selection of Portuguese short films by Agência da Curta Metragem in Romeril’s Car Park as part of the 13th Parish Film Festival.

Thank you to everyone that joined us to share in the creative, funny, often quirky and all clever short films from Portugal.

There will be additional screenings of Film Luso at The Festival of Words, Millennium Park on 26th September.
12.00 – 1.30pm | Famílias & crianças – Young children & families

A special thank you to our sponsors, Romeril’s, Geomarine, Rotary Club Jersey, Jersey Community Relations Trust, International Cultural Centre, Connect Me and Jersey Community Foundation

Carnations and Culture

In April, we gathered at The Wellbeing Hub for a special event celebrating both the Carnation Revolution and the launch of acclaimed Portuguese author, Isabel Ricardo’s new book, ‘O Valor De Liberdade’.

This event, in collaboration with Instituto Camões, was a lively, intergenerational evening celebrating Portuguese culture, history, language, heritage and song.
